After an affair lands gender studies professor Paul in marriage counseling, he retreats into theory rather than face his feelings. Elsewhere, Mia disconnects during intimacy; college athlete Derek chafes against rigid masculinity; devout Amber hides her attraction to another woman; nonbinary Finn jokes to avoid vulnerability; and relationship influencer Rosie is blackmailed by an ex threatening to leak an intimate video.
